All Nippon Airways says Asia-US market exceeds Asia-Europe potential

All Nippon Airways VP of strategic planning for the Americas Tadashi Matsushida, speaking at the CAPA Americas Aviation Summit 2016, stated (11-Apr-2016) the carrier has shifted to focus on the traffic between Asia and North America, saying the market's "huge demand, potential" is the carrier's future. He said the potential of Asian market has created several opportunities for ANA, especially with the rise of inbound foreign visitors into Japan, but noted the potential is biggest between Asia and the US. Mr Matsushida also pointed out Asia-US has "definitely" more potential for ANA than for the Asia-Europe market.
