Air India, Kingfisher, Jet Airways, GoAir, SpiceJet and JetLite post losses

India's Civil Aviation Minister Vayalar Ravi, in a written reply to Parliament, stated Air India incurred a loss of more than INR55 billion (USD1.2 billion) in FY2009/10 (PTI, 03-Aug-2011). Other carriers to report a loss for the period include: Kingfisher Airlines INR12.4 billion (USD281 million); Jet Airways INR4.7 billion (USD106 million); GOAir INR655 million (USD14.8 million), SpiceJet INR670 million (USD15.2 million) and JetLite INR462 million (USD10.5 million).
