Air Canada pax traffic up 11% in Jun-2014, 86% load factor
Air Canada reports (07-Jul-2014) the following traffic highlights in Jun-2014:
- Revenue passenger miles: +10.6% year-on-year;

- US: +18.9%;
- Europe: +18.6%;
- Asia Pacific: -0.1%:
- Latin America & Caribbean: +11.6%;
- Passenger load factor: 85.7%, +0.7 ppt;

- Domestic: 82.8%, +1.6 ppts;
- US: 82%, +1.1 ppts;
- Europe: 87.4%, -2.1 ppts;
- Asia Pacific: 91.9%, +2.7 ppts;
- Latin America & Caribbean: 82%, +2.7 ppts.
The carrier said the load factor result represented a "record" passenger load factor. CEO Calin Rovinescu stated, "System wide, traffic grew 10.6 per cent, led by the US transborder, Atlantic, Latin American and Caribbean markets. These strong results demonstrate that we are effectively executing on both our international growth plan and on our Air Canada rouge leisure strategy, while we also continue to further strengthen our competitive position".
