Aeroflot takes delivery of 30th Sukhoi SuperJet 100

Aeroflot announced (25-Aug-2016) the delivery of the 20th Sukhoi SuperJet 100 (SSJ100) aircraft (serial 95103; registration RA-89060) under the leasing agreement with Sberbank Leasing. The aircraft is named in honour of military pilot Mikhail Stupishin. Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, via its official Twitter account, stated (25-Aug-2016) the aircraft is the carrier's 30th SSJ100. The aircraft is configured with 12 business and 75 economy class seats. Aeroflot CEO Vitaliy Savelyev said: "SSJ100 received world recognition first of all as the aircraft of Aeroflot and attracted the attention of other carriers. As the national carrier, Aeroflot plans to continue to provide support to the Russian manufacturing industry, remaining its main customer." Sberbank Leasing CEO Kirill Tsarev said: "The delivery of this particular SSJ100 aircraft to Aeroflot is the 20th. We do not intend to stop and will continue to work towards the development of the regional network of air services, supporting the modern, Russian manufacturing industry and renewing the fleet of civil aviation."
