Dec-2017 Tanzania Signs MoU On Bilateral Air Services Agreement With New Zealand And India.

Tanzania has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on bilateral air services agreement with New Zealand and India in the tenth ICAO Organised Air Services Negotiation Event (ICAN 2017) held in Colombo, Sri- Lanka from 4-8 December, 2017.

The MoU between Tanzania and New Zealand was signed by Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA), Director General Hamza S. Johari and News Zealand Ministry of Transport official Sonya Van De Geer while India and Tanzania MoU was signed by DGTCAA and Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation, Arun Kumar.

ICAN provides States with a central meeting place to conduct multiple bilateral (regional or plurilateral) air services negotiations or consultations. It offers a forum for the participants to learn about current trends, discuss and exchange experiences, as well as providing excellent networking opportunities.

It offer industry stakeholders opportunities for Business to Business (B2B) meetings and networking with both other business stakeholders or community members, but also aviation regulators and air service negotiators participating in the event.
