About
Lambert-St Louis International Airport is the major airport serving the city of St Louis, Missouri, USA. The airport is the busiest in the state and it also serves the surrounding metropolitan area, which includes much of south-eastern Illinois. The airport was the major hub of Trans World Airways, which was acquired by American Airlines in 2001. The airport continues to be an important transport facility in the region, with Southwest Airlines the largest operator at the airport.
