Sibu Airport serves the city of Sibu, in the state of Sarawak in Malaysia. The airport host domestic services from AirAsia, MASwings and Malaysia Airlines, with regular connections to Kuala Lumpur and extensive services to towns on the island of Borneo. The airport recently reopened following a MYR136.9 million (USD45 million) upgrade. The project ncluded enlarging the terminal from 8040sqm to 15,240sqm, installation of two aerobridges and construction of four aircraft parking bays. The project was designed to increase passenger capacity from 700,000 to 1.8 million p/a.
