Eduardo Gomes International Airport serves the Brazilian city of Manaus, the largest city and main gateway to the Amazon region and heart of an important industrial centre. Manaus is home to 50% of the population of the Amazon and 10% of the population of Northern Brazil. Azul, Gol and TAM Airlines all operate extensive domestic networks from Manuas, though further regional connections are quite limited. The airport is operated by state-owned Infraero.
