Owned by the City of Lawton, Lawton/Fort Sill Regional Airport is located two miles south of the city, in Comanche County, Oklahoma. Due to the limited domestic services on offer at the airport, the Lawton Metropolitan Area Airport Authority approved a USD342,800 grant in Apr-2013 to build more food and retail facilities post security. Lawton/Fort Sill Regional Airport is listed in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 and is categorised as a primary commercial service airport.
