About

Montréal–Mirabel International Airport is located 39km northwest of Montreal, Quebec. The airport is predominantly a cargo airport, as well as serving Bombardier Aerospace and Bell Helicopter. After opening in time for the Montréal Olympics in Oct-1975, the airport decreased in importance, falling behind Toronto Pearson and Vancouver. Air Transat operated the last commercial passenger service in 2004, with the airport today used for cargo and general aviation traffic but otherwise largely disused.
