Safran Landing Systems (formerly known as Messier-Bugatti-Dowty (Safran MBD)) was established in 2011, following the merger of Safran subsidiaries Messier-Bugatti, Messier-Dowty and Messier Services. Safran Landing Systems is a leader in the aircraft landing and braking systems market and supports the full life-cycle of the product range. The company manufactures landing gear systems, wheels and brakes for a diverse range of aircraft, including large commercial aircraft, regional aircraft, business jets, military aircraft and helicopters. Safran Landing Systems is structured into five operational divisions - landing gear and systems integration, wheels and brakes, systems equipment, MRO and EGTS electric taxiing system.
