Yemen and EU in fresh talks on lifting ban

Yemen has held talks on 16-Jan-2011 to lift the EU ban (Air Cargo News, 18-Jan-2011). In Dec-2010, the UAE lifted its ban after supervising a five-day training course for 26 air cargo and air shipping security personnel at Sana'a International Airport. The ban was imposed in Oct-2010 after the discovery of a plot to use explosives hidden in freight shipments to blow up cargo carriers bound for the US.
