Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport monthly pax exceed one million for the first time in Aug-2013

Poland's Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport reported (05-Sep-2013) its best August traffic with 1.2 million passengers, an increase of 27% year-on-year, in Aug-2013. It was also the first time monthly passenger throughput have exceeded one million. The airport attributed the result to the good performance of LCCs as well as new airlines at the airport in the 2012/13 winter schedule. So far this year, airberlin has transported 48,500 passengers, Aegean Airlines has transported 23,200, Emirates with 87,000 and Qatar Airways with 51,000. [more - original PR]
