Volotea carries 500,000 passengers in six months

Volotea carried 500,000 passengers in its first six months of operations, according to Avio-Italia. The airline, which launched operations on 05-Apr-2012, plans to continue its expansion with the establishment of a third base in Palermo after Venice and Nantes. The airline plans to operate 13 international and domestic routes from Palermo including its eight existing routes from the airport, according to founders Carlos Muñoz and Lázaro Ros, and as reported by Preferente.
