Virgin Atlantic introduces on site pre-service coronavirus testing trial for crew

Virgin Atlantic Airways, in partnership with GeneMe UK, launched (05-Oct-2020) a rapid Point of Care Covid-19 RT LAMP testing trial at its London Heathrow base for its cabin crew and pilots on 30-Sep-2020. The carrier launched the testing on services to Shanghai and Hong Kong, with plans to extend the trial to Barbados and select services later in Oct-2020, before a wider roll out to test all operating crew at least monthly. Through integration with the digital ID platform Yoti, the test process is fast, secure, paperless and does not require a lab.
