Venezuela to acquire to 30 Embraer aircraft for Conviasa

Venezuela plans to acquire between 20 and 30 commercial aircraft from Embraer with an agreement likely to be finalised as early as this week, according to Marco Aurelio Garcia, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff's top aide for international affairs (Reuters, 06-Jun-2011). The aircraft will enable the nation's state-controlled airline, Conviasa, to expand its network in the Caribbean.
