US Airways Group shareholders approve merger with American Airlines

US Airways Group announced (12-Jul-2013) its shareholders have approved the merger agreement with American Airlines parent AMR Corporation. The merger and other related merger proposals were approved after US Airways Group shareholders voted over 99% in favour of the deal. US Airways CEO Doug Parker said, "We are pleased that our shareholders overwhelmingly supported our merger with American Airlines."
