Tunisia puts open skies agreement on hold due to LCC competition

Tunisia has put its open skies agreement with the European Union on hold until at least May-2012, according to the Ministry of Transport (air-journal.fr, 03-Sep-2011). The agreement was originally scheduled for implementation in Nov-2011 however has been pushed back as the government is not yet confident TunisAir will be able to compete with LCCs such as Ryanair and easyJet.
