Thai Airways' growing concern about Thai Tiger JV

Thai Airways Intrernational is reportedly growing concerned about the airline's planned Thai-based joint venture with Tiger Airways Holdings, Thai Tiger Airways (Bangkok Post, 06-Jul-2011). Executives at Thai Airways are unsure whether the airline will get off the ground, after the Thai Transport Ministry repeatedly blocked the JV on grounds that foreign interests would be taking advantage of domestic traffic rights reserved for Thai carriers. The JV agreement has been extended by three months to Aug-2011.
