Sydney Airport CEO Kerrie Mather attributed (19-Oct-2012) the recent "trend of significant growth in Singaporean and Malaysian arrivals" to seasonal frequency increases by Jetstar, as well as daily AirAsia X and Scoot services. Ms Mather also noted China consolidated its position as the airport's second largest foreign market with strong growth in September driven by the longer Golden week holiday this year while the Japanese and New Zealand markets continued to recover with both nationalities recording double-digit growth. The domestic market recorded a fourth consecutive month of positive growth, according to Ms Mather.
