SunExpress to restructure business and bundle SunExpress Germany fleet under SunExpress AOC

SunExpress announced (23-Jun-2020) plans to restructure the business to focus on the Turkish tourism market, operating leisure services to and from Turkey and domestic service in Turkey. SunExpress decided to close down air service operations of subsidiary SunExpress Germany and bundle the fleet under SunExpress' air operator certificate (AOC). CEO Max Kownatzki said: "Together with our shareholders Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, we have decided to focus on our strength in air travel into Turkey as the home carrier for Antalya and Izmir".
