Sriwijaya Air says that if it doesn't grow 'we will die'

Sriwijaya Air corporate planning and business development director Jefferson Jauwena, speaking at the CAPA Airline Fleet & Finance Summit 2016, said (04-Mar-2016) if the carrier doesn't grow "we will die." Mr Jauwena explained: "Right now we have four players in Indonesia - one is Lion Group, Garuda, us and AirAsia. There is still huge potential in indonesia, yes the competition is tough on prime routes like Jakarta-Surabaya and this is where we need to be creative looking for new opportunities."
