Spirit's carry-on baggage fee facing continued opposition

Six US Democratic Senators are seeking to introduce a law that would designate carry-on baggage as a necessity for air travellers and to create a tax against any US airline if they charge carry-on baggage fees (AP/Reuters, 14-Apr-201). Airlines pay a US7.5 cent tax for every dollar they collect in fares.
