Spain’s Ferrovial revenue down 8%, EBITDA also down in 2009

Spain's Ferrovial revenue down 8% - financial highlights for the 12 months ended 31-Dec-2009:

  • Revenue: EUR12,095 million, -8.0% year-on-year;
    • Airports: EUR3,070 million, -6.4%;
      • BAA: EUR3,067 million, -6.0%;
    • Swissport: EUR1,124 million, -4.5%;
  • EBITDA: EUR2,540 million, -0.2%;
    • Airports: EUR1,337 million, +1.9%;
      • BAA: EUR1,355 million, +2.3%;
      • Swissport: EUR81.0 million, +14.5%;
  • EBIT: EUR1,531 million, +8.3%;
    • Airports: EUR611.3 million, +17.7%;
      • BAA: EUR630 million, +17.7%;
    • Swissport: EUR47.3 million, +19.8%;
  • Net profit (loss): (EUR92 million), compared to a net loss of EUR812 million in the previous corresponding period;
  • Passenger numbers:

Ferrovial: "Overall, BAA's traffic declined by 4.3% to 112.2 million passengers. Traffic performance improved significantly as the year advanced. In fact, passenger numbers were down only 0.8% in the fourth quarter," Company statement. Source: Ferrovial, 23-Feb-2010.
