SkyWest, US carrier, considering investment in Vietnamese start-up

US’ SkyWest CFO, Bradford Rich, stated the LCC is considering investing in a potential start-up in Vietnam, as part of plans to identify growth options outside the US (The Salt Lake Tribune, 06-May-2010). Mr Rich declined to identify the start-up. The carrier recently made an additional USD10 million investment in TRIP Linhas Aereas, increasing its total investment in the carrier to USD30 million and stake to 20%.

“We see Vietnam as being an area of potential investment that would appear at least with our initial assessments to be one of some promising opportunity,” Bradford Rich, CFO. Source: The Salt Lake Tribune, 06-May-2010.
