Shannon Airport surpasses six million passengers since independence in 2013

Shannon Airport announced (20-Sep-2016) it has surpassed six million passengers since opening as an independent airport on 01-Jan-2013. Shannon Group CEO Matthew Thomas said: "Shannon provides a key supporting role to the region from a tourism and business perspective. It is the only airport on the western half of Ireland with services to all three key Irish markets - the US, UK and Europe.
