Shannon Airport forecasts 35% fall in passenger numbers in 2010

Ireland's Shannon Airport Authority Director, Martin Moroney, forecast passenger numbers could fall 35% year-on-year to 2 million in 2010, as a result of Ryanair’s plans to reduce its aircraft based at the airport from four to one (BreakingNews.ie, 03-Nov-2009). The airport also expects passenger numbers to be down 8% year-on-year in 2009, to 2.7 million passengers.
