Ryanair to close Bordeaux Airport base in Nov-2024

Ryanair announced (14-May-2024) it will close its Bordeaux Airport base in Nov-2024, following the failure of negotiations with the airport on the extension of Ryanair's services. The LCC will move its three aircraft based at the airport to "less expensive airports" elsewhere in Europe, resulting in the loss of 40 Ryanair routes to and from Bordeaux and the loss of more than 90 jobs for pilots, cabin crew and engineers based in Bordeaux.
