Ryanair announces two new bases at Bari and Brindisi
Ryanair announced (15-Sep-2009) two new Italian bases, at Bari and Brindisi, bringing its total European bases to 36. From Jan-2010, Ryanair will base two aircraft at Bari and open nine new routes (16 in total), while in Feb-2010, the LCC will base one aircraft at Brindisi and open four new routes (for a total of nine) - see Route Changes Table for more information. Further details include:
- Bari: New services to Brussels (Charleroi), Cagliari, Dusseldorf (Weeze), Genoa, Karlsruhe - Baden Baden, Paris (Beauvais), Trapani, Treviso and Valencia from 14-Jan-2010, which are expected to increase Ryanair's traffic at Bari to 1.2 million passengers p/a;
- Brindisi: New services to Barcelona (Girona), Eindhoven, Trapani and Treviso from 04-Feb-2010, Expected to increase Ryanair's traffic at Brindisi to 650,000 passengers p/a. [more]
Ryanair is celebrating the two new bases and 13 new routes by releasing 1 million EUR1 seats for travel across its European network in Oct-2009 and Nov-2009, for bookings made until 17-Sep-2009.
