Qatar Airways 'extremely disappointed' with A320neo delays, may cancel P&W engine order

Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker, speaking at a press conference for the launch of Doha-Sydney service, said (03-Mar-2016) the carrier is "extremely disappointed" with delays in the introduction of the A320neo and said the problem is "solely at the door of Pratt & Whitney." Mr Al Baker said the aircraft's engines were not adequately tested and the airline is prepared to cancel its order with Pratt & Whitney (P&W) if issues are not addressed. Mr Al Baker said the carrier is in negotiations with CFM and is prepared to switch engine supplier if necessary.
