Qantas passenger numbers up 5.6% in May-2010, load factors fall
Qantas passenger numbers up 5.6% - traffic highlights in May-2010:
- Passenger numbers: 3.3 million, +5.6% year-on-year;
- Qantas Domestic: 1.4 million, +4.7%;
- QantasLink: 376,000, +10.1%;
- Jetstar Domestic: 617,000, -1.1%;
- Qantas International: 443,000, -15.9%;
- Jetstar International: 303,000, +48.4%;
- Jetstar Asia: 221,000, +47.6%;
- Load factor: 75%, -2.7 ppts;
- Qantas Domestic: 75.4%, -2.5 ppts;
- QantasLink: 63.9%, -1.1 ppts;
- Jetstar Domestic: 74.4%, -7.2 ppts;
- Qantas International: 76.1%, -3.4 ppts;
- Jetstar International: 71.4%, +0.2 ppt;
- Jetstar Asia: 80.3%, +6.9 ppts. [more]
Qantas: "Total Domestic (Qantas, QantasLink and Jetstar Domestic operations) yield excluding foreign exchange for the financial year to May 2010 was 3.4% lower when compared to the corresponding prior year period. Total International (Qantas and Jetstar International operations) yield excluding foreign exchange for the financial year to May 2010 decreased by 12.2% when compared to the corresponding prior year period.
