Qantas Airways Group passenger numbers up 3% in Jan-2013, domestic yields down

Qantas Airways Group passenger numbers up 2.9% – traffic highlights for Jan-2013:

  • Passenger numbers: 4.1 million, +2.9% year-on-year;
  • Passenger load factor: 82.1%, -0.1 ppt;
    • Qantas Domestic: 78.5%, +0.2 ppt;
    • Qantas International: 86.4%, +0.3 ppt;
    • Jetstar Domestic: 83.3%, -2.3 ppts;
    • Jetstar International: 80.8%, +4.3 ppts;
    • QantasLink: 61.4%, -0.9 ppt;

Qantas: “For the financial year to date (January 2013), Qantas Group yields were lower than the prior corresponding period.
