Philippines domestic pax numbers up 13% in 1Q2012, domestic cargo up 14.9%

Philippines' Civil Aeronautics Board reports domestic passenger numbers rose 13% year-on-year to 5.2 million for the three months ended Mar-2012, as reported by the Business Mirror. Details include:

  • Passenger numbers: 5.2 million, +13% year-on-year;
    • Cebu Pacific: 2.4 million, +21.9%;
    • Phillippine Airlines: 1.1 million, -28.7%;
    • Airphil Express: 1.1 million, +20.1%;
    • Zest Airways: 626,852, +21%;
    • SEAir: 10,037, -78.6%;
  • Passenger load factor:
    • Cebu Pacific: 76%, -5.0 ppts;
    • Phillippine Airlines: 74%;
    • Airphil Express: 73%, +2.0 ppts;
    • Zest Airways: 72%, -4.0 ppts;
    • SEAir: 76%, -1.0 ppts;
  • Cargo volume: 45,743 tonnes, +14.9%.
