Norwegian establishes cargo company

Norwegian established (22-Apr-2013) Norwegian Cargo to coordinate and utilise freight capacity on the airline's network and attract more business partners. The new company will directly manage its Nordic markets and will establish a network of GSA agreements for its international markets. The airline currently transports cargo only within Scandinavia. Norwegian director ground operation and in-flight services Bjørn Erik Barman-Jenssen said, "With Norwegian's continual growth and the launch of flights to the United States and Thailand, this is the right time to establish a separate entity within the company to maintain and develop the transportation of goods and to ensure optimal utilisation of the available cargo capacity."
