Maldives Airports: Ibrahim Nasir International Airport’s expansion underway

Maldives Airports Company Limited announced (06-Jun-2016) it held a ceremony to commence Male Ibrahim Nasir International Airport's (INIA) expansion project with Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG) on 06-Apr-2016. BUCG will develop a new 3400m x 60m runway, a cargo building that handles for 120,000 tons of freight annually and a new fuel farm with a storage capacity of 45 million litres of Jet A1 fuel and a fuel hydrant system.
