Mactan-Cebu Airport to launch full domestic-international hub connectivity in 2025

Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority GM Jayjay Neri, speaking at Routes Asia 2025, stated (26-Mar-2025) the airport's domestic-domestic hub connectivity is now in full operation. The airport plans to launch domestic-international connectivity for same airline connections in the coming months and offer domestic-international hub connections across all airlines by the end of 2025. Mr Neri said Mactan-Cebu International Airport will be the first airport in the Philippines to enable such connectivity.

The airport saw a total of 11.3 million passengers in 2024, with increases in both domestic and international passenger numbers2. The airport aimed to increase transit traffic to 25% of total traffic by 2027 and planned to launch international-to-domestic connections by mid-20253 4.
