Lufthansa Group pax continues to rise in Aug-2012, pricing environment remains positive

Lufthansa Group reports (11-Sep-2012) the following traffic highlights for Aug-2012:

• Passenger numbers: 9.6 million, +3.1% year-on-year;
  • Lufthansa Passenger Airlines*: 7.0 million, +4.4%;
  • SWISS**: 1.6 million, +4.1%;
  • Austrian Airlines: 1.1 million, -5.6%;
• Passenger load factor: 83.8%, +2.1 ppts;
  • Lufthansa Passenger Airlines*: 82.8%, +1.6 ppt;
  • SWISS**: 87.1%, +1.8 ppt;
  • Austrian Airlines: 85.4%, +5.8 ppts;
• Cargo volume: 157,000 tons, -6.0%;
