London Heathrow Airport pax down 1% to 6.2m in May-2016

London Heathrow Airport reported (09-Jun-2016) a 0.8% year-on-year decline to 6.2 million passengers, cargo volume increased 1.5% to 129,671 tonnes and a 0.2% increase to 41,409 aircraft movements in May-2016. Heathrow CEO John Holland-Kaye said: "Over the last 70 years Heathrow, Britain's biggest port, has played a pivotal role in helping Britain thrive as an island trading nation. Expanding Heathrow will mean 40 new direct connections across the globe, exporting more goods to more markets for the next 70 years and beyond.
