Lion Air Group selects AirFi wireless IFE for entire group fleet

Lion Air Group and AirFi Indonesia signed (04-Apr-2019) an agreement to install wireless IFE technology across the Lion Air Group fleet under a long term contract. The agreement covers 215 ATR 42, ATR 72, A320, Boeing 737, A330 and 747 aircraft operated by Batik Air, Lion Air, Malindo Air, Thai Lion Air and Wings Air and all new aircraft deliveries. AirFi will provide a fully managed service, including hardware, software, content and revenue generation. The agreement includes the option to upgrade to the AirFi LEO lightweight connectivity system. Lion Air Group is now AirFi's largest wireless IFE customer by fleet size. The agreement expands AirFi's client portfolio in Asia Pacific to 14 airlines and more than doubles its Asia Pacific aircraft numbers to more than 400. [more - original PR]
