Kansai Airport requests ANA to share part of LCCT construction cost

Japan's Kansai International Airport Co Ltd has reportedly requested All Nippon Airways (ANA) share part of the construction cost of the LCC terminal which is estimated at JPY3 billion-4 billion (USD37-49 million) (Sankei Shimbun, 01-Jan-2011). ANA has requested the Kansai Airport Company construct the LCCT to support the launch of its LCC subsidiary this year. ANA is reportedly unwilling to bear the cost as the general practice in Japan is for construction and maintenance costs of terminals to be borne by the airport company.
