Jet Airways announces purchase agreement for acquisition of 737-800 aircraft

Jet Airways exercised (20-Jan-2012) an option for 10 Boeing 737-800 aircraft as per as part of a Oct-2007 agreement which included a firm order of 20 737-800s. The company also agreed to replace the last two 777-300ERs of a 13 777-300ER aircraft ordered reached in 2005 with seven 737-800s, with the carrier also given an option to acquire an additional five 737-800s. In addition to these orders, Jet Airways has agreed to acquire 10 737-800s which were contracted in 2005 to be acquired by Jet Lite from Boeing. [more - original PR]
