Japan MLITT: 10.8m pax between Japan-US in 2014, more than half travelled with US airlines

Japan MLITT reported (18-Feb-2016) the following passenger traffic highlights between Japan and the US:

  • 2014: 10.8 million passengers, including 3.6 million travelling with Japanese airlines, 6.6 million with US airlines and 657,000 with third country airlines;
  • 2013: 10.9 million passengers, 3.2 with Japanese airlines, 7.1 million with US airlines and 694,000 with third country airlines;
  • 2012: 10.7 million passengers, 2.9 million with Japanese airlines, 7.1 million with US airlines and 679,000 with third country airlines;
  • 2011: 9.5 million passengers, 2.6 million with Japanese airlines, 6.4 million with US airlines and 525,000 with third country airlines;
