Japan issues type certificate for A330-300, Skymark will be first to use aircraft in Japan
Japan MLITT announced (22-Jan-2014) the Civil Aviation Bureau has issued certification for the A330-300 aircraft, paving the way for the aircraft type to enter service in Japan. Skymark Airlines will be the first operator of the aircraft in Japan, with 10 of the aircraft on order, scheduled for delivery between early 2014 and 2015. As previously reported, Skymark unveiled the cabin interior for its first A330 on 11-Dec-2013, stating the aircraft will enter service on 25-Mar-2014, serving Tokyo Haneda-Fukuoka sector initially and expanding to Tokyo Haneda-Okinawa Naha and Tokyo Haneda-Sapporo Chitose.
