Indian domestic passenger traffic rises 22.7% in Jan-2010

Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation reports (12-Feb-2010) the following Indian domestic traffic highlights in Jan-2010:

  • Passenger numbers: 4.1 million, +22.7% year-on-year;
    • Air India: 734,000, +32.3%;
    • Jet Airways: 751,000, +26%;
    • JetLite: 277,000, +14.9%;
    • Kingfisher: 908,000, -1.2%;
    • SpiceJet: 500,000, +27.2%;
    • Paramount: 72,000, +1.4%;
    • GoAir: 220,000, +172%;
    • IndiGo: 625,000, +36.8%;
  • Seat factor:
    • Air India: 73.6%, +13.4 ppts;
    • Jet Airways: 73.7%, +8.9 ppts;
    • JetLite: 74.9%, +7.4 ppts;
    • Kingfisher: 76.4%, +12.4 ppts;
    • SpiceJet: 82.1%, +13.8 ppts;
    • Paramount: 87.8%, +4.7 ppts;
    • GoAir: 77.1%, +13.1 ppts;
    • IndiGo: 83.2%, +11 ppts. [more]
