Indian airlines report 23.5% rise in Mar-2010 domestic pax numbers

Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation reports (15-Apr-2010) the following Indian domestic traffic highlights:

  • Mar-2010
    • Passenger numbers: 3.9 million, +23.5% year-on-year;
    • Seat factor:
      • Air India: 66.5%;
      • Jet Airways: 70.3%;
      • JetLite: 72.9%;
      • Kingfisher: 70.1%;
      • SpiceJet: 73.5%;
      • Paramount: 84.7%;
      • GoAir: 70.0%;
      • IndiGo: 74.0%.
  • 3 months ended Mar-2010:
    • Passenger numbers: 11.9 million, +20.7% year-on-year;
      • Air India: 2.1 million, +25.1%;
      • Jet Airways: 2.2 million, +26.3%;
      • JetLite: 838,000, +16.1%:
      • Kingfisher: 2.7 million, +0.6%;
      • SpiceJet: 1.4 million, +20.5%;
      • Paramount: 184,000, -8.5%:
      • GoAir: 637,000, +145.9%;

Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation stated (15-Apr-2010) scheduled domestic airlines reported an overall on-time performance rate of 86.4% in Mar-2010. Details include:

    • Paramount: 87.1%;
    • SpiceJet: 86.8%:
    • JetLite: 82.9%;
    • Air India: 82.4%;
