India domestic pax up 4% for year to Aug-2019

India's Directorate General Civil Aviation (DGCA) reported (19-Sep-2019) the following domestic traffic highlights for Aug-2019:

• Passengers: 11.8 million, +3.9% year-on-year;
  • IndiGo: 5.5 million;
  • SpiceJet: 1.8 million;
  • Air India: 1.5 million;
  • GoAir: 1.4 million;
  • AirAsia India: 763,000;
  • Vistara: 684,000;
  • TruJet: 61,000;
  • Star Air India: 4000;
• Passenger load factor:
  • SpiceJet: 92.4%;
  • AirAsia India: 87.8%;
  • GoAir: 87.5%;
  • IndiGo: 84.3%;
  • Vistara: 81.8%;
  • Air India: 80.9%;
  • TruJet: 78.0%;
