IAG pax numbers up 8% in Oct-2012, premium traffic up 3%

International Airlines Group (IAG) reports (06-Nov-2012) the following consolidated traffic highlights in Oct-2012:

  • Passenger numbers: 4.9 million, +7.5% year-on-year;
  • Passenger load factor: 80.5%, +0.4 ppt;
    • Domestic (UK and Spain): 74.4%, -2.4 ppts;
    • Europe: 78.6%, +0.7 ppt;
    • North America: 84.6%, +0.9 ppt;
    • Latin America and Caribbean: 80.9%, stable;
    • Africa, Middle East and S.Asia: 76%, +0.7 ppt;
    • Asia Pacific: 80.7%, +1.1 ppts;
  • Cargo traffic (FTKs): -0.6%. [more –original PR]

IAG: “Taking account of Hurricane Sandy capacity, Group capacity would have risen by 3.4 per cent on an underlying basis.
