IAG passenger numbers down in Aug-2011, cargo traffic also lower
International Airlines Group (IAG) reports (05-Sep-2011) the following consolidated traffic highlights in Aug-2011:
- Passenger numbers: 4.8 million, -3.6% year-on-year;
- Domestic (UK & Spain): 899,000, -22.5%;
- Europe: 2.2 million, +1.4%;
- North America: 786,000, +5.5%;
- Latin America and Caribbean: 436,000, +9.8%;
- Africa, Middle East and S.Asia: 356,000, -9.6%;
- Asia Pacific: 138,000, +6.2%;
- Passenger load factor: 84.9%, +0.1 ppt;
- Domestic (UK & Spain): 78.7%, +0.4 ppt;
- Europe: 83.7%, +0.6 ppt;
- North America: 89.5%, +1.8 ppts;
- Latin America and Caribbean: 85.5%, -0.7 ppt;
- Africa, Middle East and S.Asia: 78.9%, -1.6 ppts;
- Asia Pacific: 81.9%, -4.2 ppts;
