IAG launches LEVEL, long haul start-up based in Barcelona

IAG confirmed (17-Mar-2017) it will launch a new LCC named LEVEL based at Barcelona El Prat Airport, to operate long haul services to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Buenos Aires and Punta Cana. One way fares start at EUR99 or USD149. LEVEL will operate two new A330 aircraft configured with 314 seats, out of which 21 are premium. The start up will generate up to 250 jobs in Barcelona. The carrier will have internet connectivity with prices from EUR9. IAG CEO Willie Walsh stated: "Barcelona is Vueling's home base and this will allow customers to connect from Vueling's extensive European network onto LEVEL's long haul flights".
