Hainan Airlines, China Eastern and Cathay increase international fuel surcharge

Hainan Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Dragonair have all increased their international fuel surcharges (Jiefang Daily, 29-Apr-2011). Details include:

• Hainan Airlines: Increased fuel surcharges on services from Europe from CNY900 to CNY1000 per sector, effective 18-Apr-2011;
• China Eastern and Shanghai Airlines: Increased fuel surcharges on services between mainland China and Southeast Asia (excluding Vietnam), South Asia and the Middle East from CNY300-CNY400 to CNY450 per sector, effective 20-Apr-2011;
• Cathay Pacific and Dragonair: Will increase fuel surcharges on services between Hong Kong and mainland China from USD24.9 to USD28.5 per sector, effective 01-May-2011.
